Throwing stars and summer tires off, BBS Style 5s and winter tires on. Just waiting for new roundel stickers before I throw the center caps back on as the current ones are in rough shape.

Also discovered that my car has had a 3rd local owner over the weekend. Was out for a friends birthday the other night and started talking to this dude there about cars. Found out that he's the co-owner of the best independent BMW shop in the city. He told me that his business partner, one of the best BMW techs in Calgary used to own my car and that he's the one who rebuilt the engine when he was working at the local BMW dealership. Which jibes with what my records say. He told me that he's driven my car out to BC probably 4 times. Hit 200 kmph on the Trans-Canada highway in it.

Funny thing is that I'd called them a month ago about bringing in my 335xi but because they're so busy, it would be nearly a month before I could get it in. They don't usually work on BMWs older than 1995, but he said that they'll make an exception for me since they have a personal history with the car. :)

what are you running on it for winter tires?

Also what does it have for a tune, I know those would push right up to the 155 limiter, but I thought they topped out around 175 without that in place. Take alot more power to push to 200

Haha, sorry should have specified. 200 km/h, not miles. I don't think this thing would hit 200 mph with a hurricane behind it. Although it is pushing about 360 horsepower, slightly more than the 3.8 L S38. It has a Turner Motorsports chip that bumps it up by about 40 HP (and increases the rev limiter to 7500 RPM!!), plus a Racing Dynamics air intake, and a catless, X pipe. Plus it's not the original engine: it's a BMW Motorsport crate engine with upgraded pistons and a resurfaced cylinder head. No idea what the top speed is. Don't think I'll ever find out either.

I'm embarassed to admit that I'm not actually sure what brand of winters are on it, just that they're brand-new and only have about 700 kms on them. They still have the rubber "whiskers" on the sides. Although, I don;t know how much I'm gonna drive this thing in the winter. It's -20 outside right now and my 335xi 6 speed on winters is a much better choice in this weather.

Nope. Plus if someone hits me in it, it's kind of irreplaceable. That said, I'll take it out once in a while. Previous owner told me that he had it sideways in 5th gear so that sounds pretty fun.
